Sector Capability Grants

Sector Capability Grants

The Aboriginal Housing Office’s (AHO) Sector Capability Grants are now open. AHO invites all registered Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHP) under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) and New South Wales Local Scheme (NSWLS) and providers who are scheduled or undertaking registration with the Registrar of Community Housing to apply.

Non-Housing Pathways providers

The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Housing have now provided an avenue for non-Housing Pathways providers to contact applicants on the NSW Housing Register.

This process allows you, as a non-Housing Pathways provider, to allocate a vacant social housing property to a suitable applicant.

Parkes

Parkes is home to the nationally recognised icon, ‘The Dish’ and has become more recently known as the ‘Elvis capital of Australia’.

356 km west of Sydney in country NSW, Parkes is a thriving rural and commercial centre. The town has a rich agricultural and mining history displayed in museums and at various historic sites.

Parkes was originally founded in 1853 as the settlement Currajong, named for the abundance of kurrajong trees, but was then known as Bushman’s (from the local mine named Bushman’s Lead).
