Notice about Management Transfers

These transfers do not affect Aboriginal Housing Office tenants. You will continue to be managed by DCJ. You will not have to move, and your rent and lease will stay the same.

What’s happening?

You may have heard that, Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is moving the management of their tenants’ leases to a community housing provider in these locations:

  • Northern Sydney District (excluding Macquarie Park).
  • Mid North Coast District.
  • Hunter New England (excluding Lake Macquarie LGA and Newcastle LGA).
  • Shoalhaven LGA.

I live in an Aboriginal Housing Office house. Will my tenancy be transferred?

No, DCJ will still manage your lease, repairs to your home, and put you in touch with the services you need. For access to these services, contact DCJ 1800 422 322.
