Property Management Transfers
The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) will be transferring the management of AHO owned properties from the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and Community Housing Providers (CHPs) to Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHPs) to increase community control and the sustainability of ACHPs.
This is a major initiative under Strong Family, Strong Communities.
We know that ACHPs deliver critical support in their communities and we want to set them up for success and help Growth Providers thrive.
Tranche 1 – Consists of 4 packages
Package 1 – NHL
123 properties transferred to NHL on 26 July 2021
Package 2 - SEARMS
- 154 properties transferred to SEARMS on 30 August 2021
Package 3 - ACHL
- 88 properties transferred to ACHL on 27 September 2021
Package 4 – Gunida Gunyah AC
- 28 properties transferred to Gunida Gunyah AC on 25 October 2021
- 15 properties transferred to Gunida Gunyah AC on 28 March 2022
Tranche 2 – Consists of 10 Packages
The expression of interest for Tranche 2 of Property Management Transfers (PMT) was finalised in December 2021.
