AHO are increasing properties under ownership - LAHC Title transfers

Property titles for approximately 3,325 homes, tenanted by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will be transferred to the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) from the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), starting on 25 May 2023. 

All eligible homes within the program will be transferred to the AHO by August 2024 across multiple tranches.   

Tenancy management will remain with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

Aunty Bev is the elder in residence for the board, the longest serving AHO Board member and is a proud Worimi woman who is passionate about Aboriginal Community Development, Indigenous Rights and working to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
