Bowraville Memorial Cup

Bowravile Cup

Footy and Fun! The Bowraville Memorial Cup was a huge success with hundreds of youth from around the Bowraville region coming together to participate in the event.

But the day wasn’t your normal footy competition, this was an opportunity for services to have a real impact on youth to discover new opportunities, build confidence, feel supported and included.

It was also a significant day to remember and honour the victims and families, while moving forward in healing and hope.

The event was put together by Galambila Aboriginal Health Services and local community members.

Services from the area were invited to support the event by offering interactive stalls for the youth.

AHO and FACS joined forces and had a combined stall that offered slime making, hair spray, a deadly photo booth and much more!

Youth also had the opportunity to participate in art workshops, jumping castles and a petting Zoo.

Uncle Martin Ballangarry opened the day with a moving welcome to country and got the audience up on their feet dancing.

The crowd was also entertained by Hip Hop artist, Tas Jarrett.

This is the second year that this event has taken place, and may continue on for years to come.
